6. Aquic Haplocryod landscape Priest Lake, northern Idaho

Spodosols and Histosols dominate the low-lying areas in this glaciated lake valley. Where Spodosols are present, there is typically a cover of Sphagnum moss on the soil surface and absence of understory plants.
