Research Program: Soil Microbiology and Microbial Ecology

  • biological control of plant pathogens using antagonistic bacteria and fungi
  • soil and rhizosphere microbial associations with indigenous plant species
  • microbiology of aquatic, riparian, wetland, and soil habitats
  • fate of genetically engineered microorganisms in the environment
  • prediction and management of fungal epizootics of insect pests
